Modesto Agriculture and Development Organization (MADO) is pleased to announce that it is Technical Advisor and Finance Manager successfully participated in a two-day capacity-building workshop on Conflict Sensitivity and Gender Integration in Humanitarian Program Design, Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation.
The Conflict Sensitivity Resource Facility South Sudan (CSRF) at Glory Regency Hotel in Juba facilitated the training, held from July 31 to August 1, 2025. The workshop brought together professionals from various humanitarian and development organizations to deepen understanding of how conflict dynamics and gender inequalities shape program outcomes and community impact.
MADO’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to strengthening institutional capacity in delivering inclusive, equitable, and conflict-sensitive interventions across South Sudan. The training covered practical tools for integrating conflict and gender lenses into every stage of the program cycle—ensuring interventions are not only effective but also context-aware and socially responsive.
“We believe that meaningful development must be inclusive and contextually grounded. This training has equipped our team with practical approaches to better engage communities, avoid unintended harm, and amplify the voices of women and marginalized groups in our programming,”.
As MADO continues to work across food security/livelihoods, Health, Nutrition, Gender-based Violence prevention, and Child Protection, WASH, Climate Change mitigation and Environmental Protection, the knowledge gained from this training will inform its field-level activities, partner engagement, and strategic planning.
