Modesto Agriculture & Development Organization (MADO) is proud to announce the official opening of its Head Office in Juba City Council, marking a major milestone in its commitment to serving the people of South Sudan with impactful development and humanitarian programs.
The inauguration ceremony, held today in Gudele 1 behind the World Food Programme (WFP) office, was attended by key government officials, representatives from donor agencies, civil society leaders, women and youth groups, and international partners. The event symbolized MADO’s growing role in championing local solutions for agriculture, WASH, livelihoods, gender equality, and climate resilience in the country.
In his opening remarks, MADO’s Executive Director, Mr. Simon Gore Kiden emphasized the organization's vision to be a driving force for community transformation through sustainable development and citizen-led initiatives. "Our new head office will strengthen our operational coordination, deepen our engagement with stakeholders, and enhance our ability to deliver impactful, locally rooted solutions — especially in areas of plastic waste management, women’s empowerment, and food security,” he stated.
The Juba City Council welcomed the development, describing MADO as a valuable local partner in achieving the city’s urban development and environmental goals, including ongoing efforts to combat plastic pollution and support circular economy initiatives.
