Date: 2021-09-06
Modesto Agriculture and Development Organization (MADO) has donated a range of COVID-19 prevention supplies to the Central Equatoria State AIDS Commission Office in Juba City Council to support continued public health protection and workplace safety amid the pandemic.
The donation, delivered between August and September 2021, included handwashing facilities, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, liquid soap, reusable face masks, and waste disposal containers. These items will help staff and visiting clients maintain hygiene, reduce infection risks, and promote safe service delivery at the Commission’s premises.
Speaking during the handover, MADO’s Executive Director, Mr. Simon Gore Kiden, emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between civil society and public institutions in the fight against COVID-19. “This donation reflects our shared responsibility to protect frontline workers and communities as we continue to face the health and economic challenges of the pandemic,” he stated.
The Central Equatoria AIDS Commission expressed appreciation for MADO’s timely support, acknowledging the items as essential in reinforcing public health measures and ensuring continuity of HIV/AIDS services.
This intervention is part of MADO’s broader COVID-19 response and health promotion initiatives across Central Equatoria, focusing on vulnerable communities and frontline service providers.
