Wonduruba Payam, Central Equatoria – April 8, 2025
Modesto Agriculture and Development Organization (MADO) has conducted health education sessions for school children in Wonduruba Payam, focusing on proper hygiene, safe water use, and sanitation practices. The initiative aims to reduce preventable diseases among children and promote healthy habits in underserved rural schools.
During the session, MADO’s WASH Officer demonstrated proper handwashing techniques, sparking excitement and active participation from pupils and teachers alike. The interactive approach helped students understand the importance of clean hands in preventing illnesses like diarrhea, cholera, and skin infections.
Speaking at the event, the WASH Officer emphasized, “Clean hands save lives. We’re not just teaching—we’re building a healthier generation.”
This intervention is part of MADO’s broader WASH program, which prioritizes health education and behavioral change in schools, communities, and public institutions.
MADO extends appreciation to local school authorities and Wonduruba Payam leadership for their collaboration and commitment to improving school hygiene standards.
